Academic Integrity is an honesty and responsibility in all aspects of academy life. This includes values such as avoidance of cheating and plagiarism. As a student, you are expected to submit your original work and give the credit to other people's ideas. Maintaining your academic integrity includes :-

  • Creating and expressing your own ideas in course work
  • Acknowledging all sources of information
  • Completing assignments independently or acknowledging collaboration
  • Accurately reporting results when conducting your own research or with respect to labs
  • Honesty during examinations


How to Prevent Plagiarism ? 

  • Paraphrasing
Express the meaning of sentence in other words especially to achieve greater clarity


  • Referencing
Provide ( a book or article ) with citation of authorities



Step to Paraphrasing

  • Reword
Replace the words with similar meanings

  • Rearrange
Active sentence to passive sentence
Passive sentence to active sentence

  • Recheck
Make sure the meaning is same with the original meaning

GPA Worksheet :-

Grade Point Average is the average result of all the grades achieved in a semester. It is calculated by using the credit hour and the grade result of the subject.


  • What is the full form of CGPA?CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average.
  • What exactly is CGPA? It is the average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects excluding additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies.
  • How to calculate percentage from CGPA? Multiply the CGPA with 9.5 or use the above calculator to get the overall indicative percentage.
  • Why multiply with 9.5 only? The Board took the result of the last five years and calculated the average marks of all candidates who had scored between 91 and 100. That average turned out to be close to 95 marks. Since the equivalent Grade Point for the 91-100 band (A1 grade) of marks is 10, it then divided the average result of 95 by 10. The result is 9.5.
  • The CGPA comes under the cce pattern.

The Early History and Development of The Scanning Electron Microscope The earliest known work describing the concept of a Scanning Electron Microscope was by M. Knoll (1935) who, along with other pioneers in the field of electron optics, was working in Germany. Subsequently M. von Ardenne (1938) constructed a scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) by adding scan coils to a transmission electron microscope. The first STEM micrograph was of a ZnO crystal imaged at an operating voltage of 23 kV at a magnification of 8000 times, and a spatial resolution between 50 and 100 nm. The micrograph contained 400 x 400 scan lines and took 20 min to record, because the film was mechanically scanned in synch with the beam.
